The highly awaited period drama ‘Mohenjo Daro’ that stars Hrithik Roshan in the lead role has already recovered half of its budget. Isn’t that a good news?
The movie that was made with a whopping budget of Rs 120 crore has apparently earned Rs 45 crore from its satellite rights alone, whereas the music rights were sold for Rs 15 crore. So that means the movie has been sold for a total of Rs 60 crore and that’s exactly half of their budget.
Now, the makers of ‘Mohenjo Daro’ only need to earn Rs 45 crore from the domestic markets and Rs 15 crore from overseas market. But, we know it won’t be difficult for the film to earn profits considering it’s Hrithiik’s comeback to the silver screen after 2 years and his massive fan following.
‘Mohenjo Daro’ is directed by Ashutosh Gowariker and also stars debutant Pooja Hegde and Kabir Bedi in pivotal roles. The film will be releasing on August 12, 2016.
