Ae Dil Hai Mushkil

Karan Johar‘s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ has received ample publicity; both positive and negative. The fact that almost everyone is eagerly awaiting the film now, comes as no surprise. But so much that a multiplex sells tickets for Rs 2200! Yes, you read it right. The most expensive ticket of ADHM is for Rs 2200 and is being sold at PVR Director’s Cut, Delhi.

The multiplex is however known to maintain costliest ticket prices throughout the year. But this much for one single ticket seems a bit too high, right?

“It (this exorbitant pricing) is not for milking the audience but for maximising the profit before piracy kicks in. Rs 900 per ticket plus popcorn, coke and conveyance is too much to spend for a few people. But having said that, people who want to see the film, will watch it,” Akshaye Rathi, an exhibitor and distributor, told a popular website on the same.
