With mastery and conviction, Nawazuddin Siddiqui brings Manto alive in this short film

Nandita Das‘s ‘Manto’ is the newest fruit of intellect that the world can’t wait to watch. The legendary Indo-Pakistani author was a true reflector of his times. Especially active post India-Pakistan partition, when the social and political scenarios were especially chaotic, he was blatantly honest in portraying crisis and chaos of the times. His flamboyant use of colloquial abuses and a broad approach towards discussions about s*x and intimacy dejected the common people and their perceptions, many times.
