Bejoy Nambiar- Dhanush

South star Dhanush was to act in the remake of Mani Ratnam’s hit Tamil flick ‘Agni Natchathiram’. The movie was to be made by Bejoy Nambiar. But the latest on this front is that the movie has been put on the back burner by the filmmaker as he is now concentrating on a Malayalam-Hindi bilingual.

Nambiar had signed up Dhanush along with Harshvardhan Rane of ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ fame. The actors were to depict the role of warring brothers in the film.

Sources revealed, “Dhanush’s look didn’t work out as planned and his dates were clashing with previous commitments down South. The film has been put on the back burner till these issues are resolved. Bejoy has already moved on to another project, a Malayalam-Tamil bilingual. He is busy with the casting; this film should take off by October.”

‘Agni Natchathiram’ was the story of two half-brothers and how their relationship transformed with time. The role was depicted by actors Prabhu and Karthik in the original. Earlier Vicky Kaushal was supposed to be the lead in the remake before Dhanush took over, and now the entire film is nearly shelved.
