Salman Khan and Kabir Khan next film.jpg

Amidst a lot of hullabaloo, Salman Khan’s ‘Tubelight’ got released, but alas, the followers of superstar could not digest seeing their ‘bhai’ in such a vulnerable character. As a result, the movie could not perform the way it should have, like all the Eid blockbusters of Salman have. Even though it will be entering the 100-crore club soon, the response overall has been dismal, be it from critics, or the masses.

Even then, the superstar does not seem heartbroken. If sources are to be believed, at his Eid party, his ‘Tubelight’ director Kabir Khan asked Salman if he wants to go ahead with their next project, and the actor immediately said yes.

If reports are to believed, then the superstar will be seen playing a character who ages from a 40-year-old to a 75-year-old. (Also Read: Watch: Ladakh schedule was the toughest for Salman Khan’s ‘Tubelight’)

A source close to Salman was quoted by Deccan Chronicle, saying, “See, bhai is not really bothered with what the critics say. He wants to play characters now, and not just be Salman Khan, the superstar. The same critics slammed him for just going in front of the camera and not doing anything to change into characters. Now when he’s keen to play characters he will do what he wants without fear of criticism. Kabir and bhai had already discussed another project during the making of ‘Tubelight,’ and that commitment remains unchanged.”

Regarding the new film, the source further added, “Bhai got scared of that film because he would have to use a lot of prosthetics to show age. Bhai is not comfortable with prosthetics. He always says no to roles that require him to put on disguises, fake beards, etc. because of his neuro-condition. However, now when he is in the mood to stretch himself as an actor and the old man’s role with Kabir, this will happen.”

Well, we certainly enjoyed the act by Salman in ‘Tubelight’. Let’s wait for another different character by him, in this project, whenever it hits the screens.
