SLB Baahubali Padmavati

Baahubali’ has turned out to be the biggest franchise in the history of Indian cinema. The makers have spent more that Rs 450 crore to make this franchise as lavish and as grand as it is today. Well, it’s a South film dubbed in Hindi, but even the dubbed version is doing fantastic at the box office. This has surely given our Bollywood filmmakers a sign to pull-up their socks.

One filmmaker who has always given us grand films is Sanjay Leela Bhansali. He is currently busy with the shooting of ‘Padmavati’, and if reports are to be believed, thanks to ‘Baahubali’, the makers of Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor-starrer have decided to increase the budget of the film.

‘Padmavati’ is being produced by Viacom 18, and apparently the production house has decided to increase the budget by Rs 40 crore. Earlier, the film’s budget was Rs 160 crore, and now it has been increased to Rs 200 crore. It is said that the makers are planning to rope in some of the top notch names from British cinema to portray British characters in the movie.
