Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are officially a couple now. From their mehendi, shaadi to the latest scoop of their reception in Mumbai, was all in the news and it literally took the internet by storm. Virushka’s wedding took place in Italy, then it was their mini- honeymoon in Finland followed by two receptions first in Delhi and then in Mumbai. And yes though there were too many venues involved in Virat-Anushka’s wedding, one factor which was quite common was designer, Sabyasachi Mukherjee.

But after a much detailed thought, we noticed that why did Anushka and Virat go for designer Sabyasachi and not Manish Malhotra. FYI, Manish and Anushka have been close buddies and the actress has walked the ramp as a showstopper for him quite often. Also, remember who had designed Anushka Sharma’s bridal outfit for the song ‘Channa Mereya’ from ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’? Yes, ace designer Manish Malhotra was behind the spectacular but extremely heavy lehenga that Anushka had worn in the song. Then why did Anushka not even consider Manish Malhotra as her wedding ensemble designer? (Also Read:EXCLUSIVE: Did Shah Rukh Khan avoid Bumping into Kangana at Virushka’s reception?)

So now let us take you back in time, interestingly, Anushka and Manish had a social media war of sorts during ‘ADHM’. It so happened that Anushka had posted a video on Instagram of her shimmery but heavy lehenga and did not credit Malhotra for his creation at all. Showing his distaste Manish Malhotra had replied, “And thanks for not even tagging me or mentioning my name considering the passion, love and hard work we put in the outfit.”
