Ranbir Kapoor to replace Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Saare Jahaan Se Achha’?

Bollywood is currently going through a season of biopics and in 2019, we have already had the biopics of former PM Manmohan Singh and late Bal Thackeray. Now, Shah Rukh Khan was supposed to play Indian astronaut Rakesh Sharma in ‘Saare Jahaan Se Achha’ and then he decided to opt out of the film.

The casting of the film has created quite the buzz as the makers of the film and the lead role has not been finalised. Rumours were rife that Vicky Kaushal, Rajkummar Rao, and Kartik Aaryan were being considered for the film. According to a Filmfare report, Ranbir Kapoor has been roped in to play the character of Rakesh Sharma.

The 36-year-old actor though is still to give his approval for the biopic. Let’s not forget that Ranbir played Sanjay Dutt‘s role in Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Sanju’ and it was one of the biggest hits of Ranbir’s career. Ranbir is considered one of the most versatile and charismatic actors of this generation. SRK, on the other hand was last seen Aanand L Rai’s ‘Zero’, which did below par business at the box-office. Shah Rukh played the role of a dwarf named Bauua Singh.

The ‘Rockstar‘ actor is currently busy shooting for Dharma Productions’ ‘Brahmastra’ in which he will be seen opposite girlfriend Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan.
