Decoding: Deepika Padukone’s visually appealing ‘Padmavati’ avatar!

Every year there is one such film which an avid movie goer waits for, with bated breathe. And that kind of a movie with a lot of grandeur inclination this year, is Sanjay Leeela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’. Ever since the lead stars of the film namely Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor announced that ‘the regal queen (Padmavati) will appear at sunrise’ on their social media accounts, fanatics could not contain their excitement. And finally the first poster of the film is OUT. And, it looks nothing short of magnificent. Check out the picture below:

Is Deepika’s look in the poster worth the wait?

The answer to the above question is YES! And as it was speculated and known that Deepika plays the role of a titular Rajasthani queen in the film ‘Padmavati’, we think her overall getup is superb. Just look at Deepika in the above picture; she spells royalty in true sense. Costume designers, Rimple and Harpreet Narula have done so much justice with regards to Deepika’s outfit. With those exquisite-heavy jewellery matched up with the red ghagra-choli, bindi, huge dangling earrings, ring, rajasthani nath, Deepika surely looks like a masterpiece.

Also, the official Instagram handle of Tanishq jewellery retweeted the first poster look of the film and stated a very interesting fact. A team of around 200 artisans worked tirelessly over 12 months to create 1500 regal jewel pieces for Deepika Padukone’s Padmavati avatar. Digging in on the above poster, it’s moreover a closer image of the actress where a lot of oxidised/junk jewellery has been used to make Deepika look like a typical Rajasthani queen. Also attention to details, the actress is seen sporting a unibrow *interesting*. Moving onto the makeup part, Deepika as the queen in the poster is seen wearing a minimal makeup look. Moreover like the no-makeup look. Lastly, the above posters make the wait for the film’s teaser more difficult. The film will get a grand release on December 1, 2017, instead of the earlier promised date of November 17. ‘Padmavati’ is one of the most anticipated films in Bollywood this year.

Deepika surely spells the word ethereal in caps, with this look, in and as, the legendary queen Padmavati.
