Sridevi Kapoor and Manushi Chhillar photos

Destiny can be a funny thing. The exquisite Sabyasachi Mukherjee saree worn by the veteran actor Sridevi recently had been previously modelled by the then unknown face, Manushi Chhillar, who’s now the reigning Miss World. The designers Instagram grabbed eyeballs when he posted pictures of both the lovely ladies in his grand creation. For an event in the city, Sridevi Kapoor wore this royal blue and gold polka dot saree with a heavily embroidered blouse. The geometric pattern on the blouse was offset by plain sleeves with golden thread work and intricate border. The diva styled this hand-crafted matka saree with uncut diamond earrings from Sabyasachi jewellery and a statement cocktail ring. She stuck to a sophisticated and classy vibe with glossy pink lips and a rosy blush. The neat chignon added a contemporary vibe to the ensemble. Right from the colour complementing her complexion to how the look was put together, she looked every bit of the enigma that she is.

On the contrary, the gorgeous Manushi Chillar chose a dramatic look for the same saree. She opted for a heavy, choker-style diamond necklace (what a beauty) and matching statement earrings from the designer’s jewellery collection. We’re totally digging the sleek centre-parted hair and the tiny bindi look. Manushi wore nude mauve lips that toned down the otherwise busy avatar.

Of course, Manushi looked gorgeous but we just have a special place in our heart reserved for Sridevi. Well, who can possibly beat that elegance and charisma at the age of 54? Also, what worked was the fact that she wore the saree with a casual twist and took the drama down several notches with her easy-breezy take on the opulent Sabya saree.

Agree? Whose side are you on?
