Aditya Roy Kapur To Make His Singing Debut In Metro… Inn Dino; Pritam Reveals, “Adi’s Voice Are His Own”

Bollywood actor Aditya Roy Kapur is returning to the big screen with his new film Metro… In Dino, a spiritual sequel to the 2007 movie Life in a… Metro. This marks his first theatrical release in nearly two years, after his last appearance in the 2023 film Gumraah.

Pritam Confirms Aditya Roy Kapur’s Singing Debut

On Wednesday, May 28, the makers of the film launched its first song Zamaana Lage, at a grand event in Mumbai. The song gives a glimpse into the film’s emotional tone and features soulful music and heartfelt lyrics.

Aditya’s singing debut in the film was confirmed by composer Pritam, who wrote all of the songs for the movie, during Zamaana Lage song launch. Pritam was heard saying, “We have seen in the West that the stars in musicals sing their own songs and in this too, the musicals in Adi’s voice are his own and he is sounding amazing.”

He added, “As an actor, when you’re shooting songs, you have these beautiful lyrics that you have to act like you’re singing — and it adds so much depth to everything. The songs always help take the story forward, and I’m looking forward to hearing all ten. I haven’t heard all of them yet, but I’m sure they’re going to be amazing.”

Metro… In Dino will feature 10 to 12 songs, promising a strong musical album experience for the audience.

Aditya Roy Kapur shared his excitement about being part of this film. He said that he has always been a big fan of Life in a… Metro and loved the original movie. Being a part of its spiritual sequel is very special to him.

The launch of Zamana Lage was as heartfelt as the song itself. Held at Yuhi Lounge in Mumbai, the evening saw the entire cast including Anupam Kher, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal, and Neena Gupta in attendance. The launch also had director Anurag Basu, musical legend Pritam, producer Bhushan Kumar (T-Series) as well as singers like Shashwat Singh, Papon and Raghav Chaitanya in attendance.
