After Deepika Padukone, Arshad Warsi Reunite With Shah Rukh Khan In King, Film Set For 2026 Release – Report

King of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan is all set to begin filming his new movie King in May 2025. The film has already created a buzz ever since it was announced. It is directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Productions. Now, according to reports, actor Arshad Warsi has joined the cast.

This marks a reunion for Shah Rukh Khan and Arshad Warsi nearly 20 years after their brief appearance together in the 2005 film Kuchh Meetha Ho Jaye. Although details about Arshad’s role are being kept secret, his involvement has added more excitement among fans. According to Peepingmoon.com, “Details about Arshad’s character are under wraps, but his casting has further elevated the anticipation for this film.”

King is said to be an action-packed drama featuring Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Abhay Verma. Deepika Padukone is also expected to appear in a special role as Suhana’s mother and Shah Rukh’s former lover.

Shah Rukh Khan will play a skilled assassin who seeks revenge after a tragic event changes his daughter Suhana’s life. The story is being compared to the Bollywood film Bichhoo and the Hollywood classic Leon: The Professional. Filming for King is set to begin on May 18, 2025, in Mumbai. The movie is expected to hit theatres in late 2026. Jaideep Ahlawat is also rumoured to join the cast, though it hasn’t been confirmed yet.

Meanwhile, Arshad Warsi is busy with several other films, including Dhamaal 4, Welcome to the Jungle, Jeevan Bheema Yojana, Pritam Pedro, and Jolly LLB 3 alongside Akshay Kumar. Fans are now eagerly waiting to see him team up with Shah Rukh Khan in this much-anticipated project.
