Ajay Devgn To Begin Filming Drishyam 3 Soon? Actor Wraps Up Ranger Mumbai Shoot

Ajay Devgn has completed filming for Jagan Shakti’s action-adventure film Ranger in Palghar after plans to shoot abroad were altered due to a cyclone. He is set to begin work on Drishyam 3 in Mumbai starting December 15, alongside Akshaye Khanna and Tabu. Even as 2025 draws to a close, Devgn shows no signs of slowing down. According to sources, he wrapped up Ranger earlier this week and will move on to Drishyam 3 in Mumbai.

Ajay Devgn Wraps Up Ranger Schedule

Ranger, an action-adventure also featuring Tamannaah Bhatia, revolves around Devgn’s character, a forest officer, clashing with Sanjay Dutt, who portrays the antagonist intent on exploiting the jungle’s natural resources. According to sources, the final schedule of filming took place in Palghar.

A source revealed to Mid-Day, “Initially, the last leg was to be shot in the forests of Thailand and Sri Lanka. But after Cyclone Ditwah hit Sri Lanka last week, the makers decided to film the portions in India. They quickly zeroed in on Tungareshwar Wildlife Sanctuary and Phansad Wildlife Sanctuary in Palghar district of Maharashtra.”

Ajay Will Shoot Drishyam 3 From 15th December

Following this, Devgn is preparing to reprise his role as Vijay Salgaonkar from the successful Drishyam franchise. Starting December 15, director Abhishek Pathak, who helmed Drishyam 2 (2022), will begin shooting the third instalment in Mumbai. A source shared, “The cast, including Akshaye Khanna and Tabu, will participate in a 10-day schedule focusing on indoor scenes. Filming will continue until Christmas, followed by a break for the New Year. Production is expected to resume in the first week of 2026, with plans to complete filming by April.”

Ajay To Do More Mohanlal’s Projects

There is also speculation that Drishyam may not be the only project linking Ajay Devgn with Malayalam superstar Mohanlal. Reports suggest that Devgn has initiated discussions to adapt Mohanlal’s thriller Thudarum into a Hindi film.
