Chuck Norris passed away at the age of 86 on Thursday. He was famed for his roles in Walker, Texas Ranger and his martial arts prowess. His family announced the news via Norris’s official Instagram account. “It is with heavy hearts that our family shares the sudden passing of our beloved Chuck Norris yesterday morning. While we wish to keep the details private, please know he was surrounded by his family and was at peace,” the family posted.

Chuck Norris rose to fame with a series of action films. He later starred in the CBS crime drama Walker, Texas Ranger. He led the project for 9 seasons as a Texas Ranger. His notable films include Missing in Action, Code of Silence, and Firewalker. He made his breakthrough in 1983 with Lone Wolf McQuade. Known for portraying tough, no-nonsense characters, Norris often depicted heroes who only resorted to violence when provoked.
