Akshay Kumar Reunites With Bhool Bhulaiyaa Co-Star Vidya Balan In Anees Bazmee’s Next; To Begin Filmming From THIS Date- Report

Akshay Kumar is reportedly set to reunite with director Anees Bazmee after 15 years. The actor-director duo is said to be working on an untitled comedy film. According to a media report, the project is soon to go on floors. It is also believed to mark the reunion of Akshay Kumar with his Bhool Bhulaiyaa co-star Vidya Balan.

Akshay Kumar Reunites With Vidya Balan In Anees Bazmee’s Next

This comes after Akshay’s recent collaborations with filmmakers like Subhash Kapoor and Priyadarshan. And now he is apparently gearing up to work with Anees Bazmee again. Their last major release together was Thank You in 2011. The latest update suggests that the shooting will begin at Royal Gold Studios in Goregaon, with Akshay reportedly sharing screen space with Vidya Balan once again.

As per Mid-Day, the film is rumoured to be a comic caper. “It’s a classic Anees Bazmee comedy with fast-paced scenes, and confusion born from multiple characters and hilarious situations,” a source revealed.

The source also mentioned that the shoot was initially scheduled for February 2026. “While other actors, including leading lady Vidya Balan, will join later, the film rolls on January 20 with the superstar,” they added.

Akshay’s Work Front

Meanwhile, Akshay has a busy lineup of films. He will be seen in Priyadarshan’s Bhooth Bangla, and also has projects like Haiwaan with Saif Ali Khan and Welcome to the Jungle with an ensemble cast in the pipeline.

Vidya Balan was last seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 with Kartik Aaryan and Madhuri Dixit. Anees Bazmee is gearing up for No Entry 2 with Boney Kapoor.
