Akshay Kumar Reveals Wife Twinkle Khanna Ordered 2 Induction Stoves Amid LPG Crisis; Says, “Filhaal Koi Problem Nahi Hai Lekin…”

Amid the ongoing LPG shortage affecting the country, Akshay Kumar shared how the crisis has also impacted his household. The actor revealed that his wife, Twinkle Khanna, has already purchased two induction stoves as a precaution. The LPG shortage is not only hitting the restaurant industry and everyday consumers but also celebrities, and Akshay recently addressed the issue publicly.

Akshay Kumar Says Twinkle Khanna Ordered 2 Induction Stoves

During a press conference at the BMC headquarters in Mumbai, he revealed how his wife, Twinkle Khanna, prepared for the situation by stocking up on induction stoves. In response, the actor said, “So my wife day before yesterday… See abhi tak toh nahi hai problem koi. Lekin, what is that another oven which has come, induction kind of a thing, toh do kharide. Toh aap bhi khareed lijiye (We have not faced any problem so far. But my wife has ordered two induction stoves. So you should also buy one).”

He further revealed that he wasn’t aware if the stoves had reached his home yet. Akshay added, “Filhaal toh mujhe yeh nahi pata, lekin mujhe yeh maloom hai ki my wife has ordered it, whether ghar pe pahuche hai ki nahi, mujhe nahi pata ab tak (I don’t know that, but I know my wife has ordered it, whether it has been delivered or not, I don’t know).”

LPG Crisis In India

The LPG shortage in India has been exacerbated by geopolitical tensions involving Iran, the US, and Israel. India’s LPG supply has faced disruptions after Iran restricted access through the Strait of Hormuz. Although earlier this week Indian ships carrying LPG were allowed to pass through, the country continues to grapple with a significant shortage. Many restaurants have had to shut down temporarily, and households are resorting to panic buying and hoarding cylinders.

Despite rising LPG prices, the government has increased the mandatory inter-booking gap to 25 days. The Indian Express reported that the Centre responded to a plea from six LPG distributors seeking increased domestic cylinder supplies. It informed the Bombay High Court that both domestic and international measures are being taken to address the crisis.
