Akshaye Khanna Quits Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 3?
As reported by Bollywood Machine, Akshaye Khanna has walked out of the much-anticipated sequel – set to release on October 2, 2026, due to monetary and creative differences with the makers. The report claims Akshaye demanded a substantial hike in his remuneration following Dhurandhar’s box-office-shattering performance both domestically and overseas.
As per the report, in addition to the financial aspect, Khanna also allegedly sought significant changes for his look as IG Tarun Ahlawat in Drishyam 3. Both the monetary and creative demands are said to have resulted in disagreements between the actor and makers, eventually prompting him to step away from the project.
However, the report also states that final negotiations are still ongoing. In it’s wake, there is no official statement from the makers, leaving fans puzzled over whether or not they will see Akshaye Khanna on Drishyam Day 2026

Presented by Star Studio18, the Panorama Studios production is directed by Abhishek Pathak. The thriller is written by Pathak, Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh. The film is produced by Alok Jain, Ajit Andhare, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak. Drishyam 3 promises to reignite and elevate the family thriller genre to a new benchmark.
