Allahabad HC Clears Jolly LLB 3 for Release, Says No Objectionable Content Found

Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi’s upcoming film Jolly LLB 3 has been making headlines not just for its star cast but also for the controversy around it. Some people from the legal community had filed petitions across different states, claiming the film insults lawyers and damages the image of the legal profession.

Plea To Halt Jolly LLB 3 Release Dismissed

One such plea reached the Allahabad High Court, where the petitioners demanded a ban on the film, removal of the song Bhai Vakeel Hai, cancellation of the CBFC certificate, and an apology from the filmmakers. They argued that the film’s teaser and the song showed lawyers in a negative light and could discourage students from choosing law as a career.

However, the Allahabad High Court refused to stay the release of the film. After reviewing the trailer and the lyrics of the song, the court said it didn’t find anything offensive or inappropriate.

The bench stated, “We did not find any objectionable matter to warrant interference by this Court. We have also gone through the lyrics of the song Bhai Vakeel Hai, and we do not find anything which may interfere with the practice of the legal profession by genuine Advocates.”

With the court’s decision, Jolly LLB 3 is set to release as planned. Directed by Subhash Kapoor, the film is the third instalment in the popular courtroom comedy franchise. Along with Akshay Kumar and Arshad, the movie also stars Saurabh Shukla, Huma Qureshi, Annu Kapoor, Amrita Rao, Boman Irani, Seema Biswas, and Sanjay Mishra. Jolly LLB 3 is scheduled to hit theatres on September 19, 2025.
