Just as Bigg Boss 19 wrapped up, Amaal Mallik found himself at the centre of a controversy after the music duo Sachet–Parampara released a detailed video accusing the composer of making “false and baseless” claims about the origin of the song Bekhayali from Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film Kabir Singh. Now, Amaal Mallik appears to have responded to the allegations.
Amaal Mallik BREAKS SILENCE On Sachet–Parampara’s Bekhayali Allegations
Though his representatives have limited his public comments, here’s how he appears to have reacted. During a recent public appearance, Amaal was speaking to the media with a smile on his face. When questioned about the controversy, his representative quickly intervened, saying, “No, no, no, later.” Amaal then left the scene with a simple “all the best” as he exited.
What Did Sachet-Parampara Say?
For those unaware, Sachet–Parampara recently took to Instagram to speak out, stating they were compelled to do so for their “mental peace.” They claimed that Amaal Mallik had repeatedly asserted that his song resembled an older tune of his. The duo insisted that Bekhayali was entirely their creation, developed during music sessions with the Kabir Singh team, which included Shahid Kapoor and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
They stated, “We have all the chats with Amaal Mallik, all the conversations with the Kabir Singh team, because the entire team was present when we created this song. Every melody, every composition, every lyric was crafted right there, and it is a Sachet and Parampara original work.”
The duo further shared texts sent by Amaal and accused him of now “claiming” that he had “stolen” their song. They expressed their disappointment, saying, “We are sorry that we have to stoop so low and address all this publicly. What we’re really wondering is, Amaal, what is the point of doing all this? You said you love it. But what’s the need for all these claims?”
About The Controversy
They demanded proof from Amaal Mallik to support his allegations, promising they would do the same with theirs. The musicians also called for a public apology, asserting that his remarks have harmed their reputation. This controversy arose after Amaal, in an interview with Siddharth Kannan, claimed that Sachet–Parampara had used his track as a reference for Bekhayali. He also stated that he had shared the tune with the duo via WhatsApp.
