Ananya Panday Thanks ‘Second Mother’ Gauri Khan For Designing Her FIRST House; Says, “She Never Imposed Too Many Opinions”

Ananya Panday recently shared that Gauri Khan was very receptive to her ideas during the design process of her new home. The Bollywood actress purchased her dream house in Mumbai in 2023, which she revealed was designed by none other than Gauri Khan, the mother of Ananya’s close friend Suhana Khan and wife of superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

Ananya Panday Reveals Gauri Khan Designing Her FIRST House Was A Sentimental Decision

In an interview with NIF Global, Ananya spoke about her close collaboration with Gauri, whom she considers like a second mother. When asked about working with Gauri on her house, she said, “Honestly, for me, it was a sentimental decision to have Gauri Khan do my house because I have grown up around her and she has almost been a second mother to me.”

She further shared, “She knew me, really me. She was like, if I was doing this for Suhana Khan, her daughter, then I would have done something very similar.” Ananya added, “What I liked about Gauri ma’am was that even though she had known me since I was a kid, she still took me seriously. She saw that this is my first house and I would want to do it in a way… so she never imposed too many of her opinions or decisions… she left it open to me.”

Ananya Elaborates On Her Experience With Gauri

Explaining her experience, she elaborated, “Everything was like a question or conversation… ‘Is this something you would like?’ ‘Do you want to try this?’ Interior design is such a personal thing, where it might be like a project for you, but it is also someone’s home where they will be spending every single day. So understanding the person’s personality is very important.”

Ananya also expressed her gratitude to Gauri in a heartfelt Instagram post, captioning it, “My first home… my dream home (red heart emoji)… thank you @gaurikhan… no one could have understood exactly what I wanted better than you… and made it so so so special for me… you’re the best, love you!!!”

Ananya’s Projects

On the professional front, Ananya Panday is set to team up with Kartik Aaryan for their upcoming film Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri. The cast recently completed filming, and the movie, directed by Sameer Vidwans under Dharma Productions, is scheduled for release on February 13, 2026.
