Veteran singer Anup Jalota had been kept in isolation as soon as he arrived in Mumbai from London on March 17. The 66-year-old singer took to his Instagram handle to share his experience and also announced recently that he has tested negative for the contagious disease and he is now free to go home.

Anup took to his Instagram handle to share a video of himself where he is seen sharing the good news that he has tested negative for Coronavirus and that the doctors are now allowing him to go home.

In the video message, he can be heard saying, “The doctors have come and given me reports now and said that I don’t have any symptoms of Coronavirus and that I can go home. I was never against conducting the test and I urge everyone to come forward and do the test if need be. If any of you have any difficulty inform the doctors as this affects others also. Why to put others in danger.

Jalota added, “I am very happy I underwent the test and kept myself under observation and came out clean. I urge everyone to cooperate just like me.

Coronavirus has been declared a pandemic by the World Helth Organisation(WHO). As a preventive measure, social-distancing and self-isolation have been advised. In India, around 200 positive cases have been reported so far and the virus has already claimed five lives.
