Anupam Kher’s Directorial Tanvi The Great Finally Gets A Release Date; To Hit Cinemas On THIS Date

Tanvi The Great marks Anupam Kher’s return to direction after many years, with a story that lies closest to his heart and is his most personal and poignant work to date. After much excitement and curiosity, the official release date has finally been announced.

Tanvi The Great Theatrical Release Date Out!

A while ago, the makers took to social media and unveiled a striking poster of the film featuring its lead actor Shubhangi. The new poster – which was also the cover of the prestigious international magazine Variety, features Tanvi marching in her own world while surrounded by army personals. As per the poster, Tanvi The Great will hit cinemas worldwide on 18th July.

Announcing the film’s release date, Anupam Kher wrote on Instagram, “They called her different, but she never saw that as a weakness. While the world tried to fit her into boxes, she chose to break them, one by one. #TanviTheGreat is a reminder that being different doesn’t make you less, it makes you unstoppable. Unveiling the first poster of Tanvi The Great – a story of strength, dreams, and unstoppable courage. Meet Tanvi in cinemas on 18th July.“

Tanvi The Great boasts a stellar ensemble cast including Iain Glen, Jackie Shroff, Boman Irani, Arvind Swami, Pallavi Joshi, Nasser, Karan Tacker, debutante Shubhangi and Anupam Kher. Directed by Anupam Kher, with music by Oscar-winner M. M. Keeravani, the film is produced by Anupam Kher Studios in collaboration with NFDC. The film’s distribution is handled by AA Films by Anil Thadani.

This film recently had its world premiere at the ongoing Cannes, where the cast also graced the red carpet. The much-anticipated film is set for a worldwide release on 18th July 2025.
