Anushka Sharma, Virat Kohli Splurge A Whopping Rs 37.86 Cr On Property In Alibaug- Deets Inside

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli have just purchased a multi-crore property in Alibaug. As per media reports, the actress-cricketer couple – who spend nearly Rs 20 crore on a purchase in 2022 in the same area, have now spent over Rs 37 crore to purchase an even bigger land parcel this time. Anushka Sharma, Virat Kohli Splurge On A 5.1 Acre Property In Alibaug

As per LiveMint reports, Anushka Sharma, Virat Kohli paid an estimated Rs 37.86 crore to purchase a 5.1 acre plot of land. The property registration documents state that the land parcel is reportedly located in Zirad village. As per the registration, the actress-cricketer duo bought the land from Sonali Amit Rajput, a director at Samira Land Assets Pvt. Ltd. Data analytics firm CRE Matrix confirmed that the transaction, reportedly covering two adjoining plots, was registered on January 13.

A stamp duty of around Rs 2.27 crore was paid to secure the land parcel. As per the report, Virat’s brother, Vikas Kohli, completed the formalities on the ace cricketer’s behalf. This purchase comes months after the couple reportedly granted General Power of Attorney (GPA) to Vikas to manage his property in the country, including his Rs 80 crore Gurugram mansion. When this decision made the headlines, speculation arouse much strongly about the couple’s permanent move to the UK with their children Akaay and Vamika.

Virat, Anushka’s Alibaug Property

While the couple have now purchased a 5.1 acre land parcel, this multi-crore deal is their second major investment in Alibaug. In 2022, Sharma and Kohli spent Rs 19.24 crore to acquire nearly eight acres of land – via two separate deals, from real estate developer Samira Habitats. They have since constructed a luxury vacation home on that land.

Aside from Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, several other Bollywood celebs also own homes and land in Alibaug. This list includes Deepika Padukone & Ranveer Singh – who purchased a luxury bungalow in Mapgaon in 2021 for around Rs 22 crore, Suhana Khan – who bought a 1.5-acre property with three houses in Thal village in 2023 for an estimated Rs 12.91 crore. Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma has also reportedly purchased a 4-acre plot in the area, in 2021 in his wife Ritika Sajdeh’s name.
