2025 was a sad year for lover of films as we had to sadly bid adieu to a number of stars we grew up watching. From a legend like Dharmendra who captivated the hearts of the audiences for decades to comedians like Satish Shah and Asrani who made us laugh ever time they appeared on screen, our hearts broke several times this year.

As 2025 comes to an end, Bollywood Bubble fondly remembers the fallen heroes who made us laugh, cry and brought us comfort through their performances one last time (this year).

Bollywood Actors Who Passed Away In 2025

Actor-filmmaker Manoj Kumar – who was loved by many for his patriotic films, passed away on April 4 at the age of 87 due to chronic heart-related complications. Versatile actor Mukul Dev passed away at the age of 54 on May 23, 2025, in New Delhi after being hospitalised (in the ICU) for several days. According to his elder brother, actor Rahul Dev, the main cause was deteriorating physical health was due poor eating habits and isolation.

Veteran actor and comedian Govardhan Asrani – popularly known simply as Asrani, passed away on October 20, 2025, in Mumbai. The actor – who was 84 years at the time of his demise, died at approximately 3:00 PM at Bharatiya Arogya Nidhi Hospital owing to respiratory failure due to fluid accumulation (pleural effusion) in his lungs. Just days later, veteran actor Satish Shah passed away on October 25, 2025, in Mumbai. Best known for his iconic portrayal of Indravadan Sarabhai in the sitcom Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, the cause for the 74-year-old’s demise was a sudden cardiac arrest while he was at his residence.

The original ‘He-Man’ of Bollywood, Dharmendra, passed away at the age of 89 on November 24, 2025, in Mumbai. His death occurred just weeks before his 90th birthday.
