Saif Ali Khan and Raja Krishna Menon

Even though Saif Ali Khan’s last venture ‘Rangoon’ proved to be disastrous at the box office, his upcoming film ‘Chef’ seems to be an entertaining one. As the title suggests, Saif would be essaying the role of a chef in the film. At the same time, he will also be seen as a father. The film is about a father-son duo who kind of explore their relationship in this film. Well, we’ll not just get to see the fatherhood skills of Saif in this film, but we will also witness his cooking skills on screen.

By now we know that Saif has taken cooking lessons from a renowned chef for this film. His dedication has left the director Raja Krishna Menon quite impressed. “When we started, Saif was very worried about my expectations from him in terms of being able to chop and cook like a masterchef. During the training that started with the basics and went all the way to plating Michelin star dishes, Saif began to really enjoy cooking ,” says the director.

From chopping vegetables to cooking complex Italian dishes, Saif has become a professional when it comes to cooking. “Cooking has now become a part of who he is today. Saif discovered his inner chef through this film. I was quite content to see his transformation from someone who has never cooked to that of a professional chef,” quips the director.
