Daisy Shah Reveals Palaash Muchhal Was Afraid To Contact Her After Wedding Controversy With Smriti Mandhana; Says, “There Are Two Sides To Every Story”

Daisy Shah recently opened up about how Palaash Muchhal hesitated to contact her directly for his upcoming directorial project following the cancellation of his wedding with Smriti Mandhana. After the wedding was called off, Palaash announced his new film, starring Shreyas Talpade and Daisy Shah in the lead roles. In a recent chat, Daisy shared how Palaash was initially reluctant to approach her directly due to the controversy surrounding his personal life.

Talking to Miss Malini, she explained, “I received two or three calls from strangers saying that Palaash is making a film and he wants me to be a part of it. I thought, Paalash knows me personally—because I’m really good friends with his sister Palak—so if he wanted to talk to me, he would contact me directly or message me through Palak. Why am I getting messages from random people I don’t even know?”

She added, “So, I decided to message Palaash myself to clarify, and he told me, ‘Yes, ma’am, it’s true. But because of the current situation, I haven’t been calling anyone personally, as it might lead to misunderstandings.’ We then arranged for a narration, and I expressed my interest in moving forward with the project.”

Daisy Wishes Palaash-Smriti Reconcile

When asked if she ever doubted working with Palaash—who has been in the spotlight recently due to his controversial breakup and allegations of cheating—Daisy said, “I can separate my personal life from my professional commitments. I don’t think personal issues should affect work. Honestly, I don’t even know the full story. There are always two sides to every story. We’re only hearing what the media reports, and I don’t know what actually went wrong. It’s a matter between two families, and I’m just being neutral. Just because there’s controversy doesn’t mean I should judge him. He contacted me professionally, and I don’t see any reason to judge him based on assumptions.”

She also expressed hope that the couple might reconcile. “I hope everything works out for both of them and that they come back together because they make a lovely pair.”
