The actor surprised the audience by joining AR Rahman on stage to perform their hit song Adangaatha Asuran from their upcoming film Raayan. This impromptu performance quickly went viral, with numerous pictures and videos circulating online showing the two artists sharing the stage.
Dhanush himself later shared a picture with the legendary composer on his social media, captioning it, “An absolute honour @arrahman sir,” accompanied by a red-heart emoji. This post was met with an outpouring of love from fans in the comment section.
Dhanush And Rahman Sing Adangaatha Asuran
Adangaatha Asuran holds a special significance as it was composed by Rahman, with vocals by both him and Dhanush. Adding another layer to their collaboration, the lyrics for the song were penned by Dhanush himself. During their time on stage, Dhanush expressed his immense admiration for Rahman’s work, calling it unbelievable. Rahman, in turn, thanked the Raanjhanaa actor and complimented his seemingly effortless performance, despite Dhanush admitting to feeling nervous.

Rahman remarked, “I’m very grateful for you. I’m just going to check the mic. I think he says he’s nervous. Look at me. But he’s doing it normally. He’s doing it normally.” Dhanush humbly responded, “Sir, you do it easily, sir. You do it very easy.” Rahman then lightened the mood with a joke to the crowd before they launched into the song.

AR Rahman is all set to compose the music for Dhanush and Kriti Sanon’s upcoming film Tere Ishk Mein. It is being described as a spiritual sequel to the critically acclaimed Raanjhanaa. This upcoming project further solidifies the powerful creative partnership between Dhanush and AR Rahman.
