Just hours after the makers of Ikkis unveiled Dharmendra’s look from the upcoming war film, news of the actor’s demise made the headlines. As we mourn the actor and fondly remember Bollywood’s He-Man’s work in the film industry for over 6 decades, the 89 year old actor’s final rites took place at a cremation centre in Mumbai’s Vile Parle. Along with the veteran superstar’s family, several fraternity members were also spotted arriving and exiting the cremation centre.

Aside from Amitabh Bachchan, Salim Khan and Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and many more actor who worked with Dharam Ji over the past several years were also snapped attending Dharmendra Ji’s funeral.

Amid heavy security, Salman Khan – who Dharam Ji once called his third son, was seen entering the cremation grounds. The duo shared a very strong bond both on-screen and off-screen. They starred together in several films including Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya and dance numbers in Yamla Pagla Deewana and Om Shanti Om.

Also spotted at Bollywood’s He-Man’s funeral were Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor, Shabana Azmi and more stars.

About Dharmendra

Born on December 8, 1935 in Nasrali, Punjab, British India (present-day Punjab, India), Dharmendra passed away on November 24, 2025 at age 89. In an impressive career spanning 65 years, the veteran superstar featured in over 250 films and was even honoured with the Padma Bhushan in 2012. Active till the very end, the actor’s posthumous theatrical release will be Ikkis – a war drama based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal. His first look poster was unveiled earlier today.

On the personal front, Dharam ji is survived by his 2 wives – Prakash Kaur – whom he married in 1954 and actress Hema Malini – whom he married in 1980, his 6 children – Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Vijeta, Ajeeta, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol and 13 grandchildren, including Karan, Rajveer and Dharam.
