Yesterday, reports of veteran actor Dharmendra being hospitalised made the headlines and left many fans worried. As per reports, the ‘Apne’ actor was recently taken to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital, making many wonder about his declining health. However, there’s no need to be alarmed as the latest reports states the actor is doing fine.
Reason For Dharmendra’s Hospitalisation Revealed
On the night of October 31, journalist Vickey Lalwani took to his social media and reported the real reason behind the hospitlisaion. He reported thast he got in touch with the hospital authorities, who revealed that Dharmendra was admitted to the ICU after complaints of breathlessness and is now doing fine.
An individual from hospital told the journalist, “Dharmendra came in complaining of breathlessness. He is in the ICU and he is sleeping now.” The unnamed staff member further clarified that the veteran actor is now ‘stable.’ They said, “No, right now nothing to worry. He is stable. His parameters are okay—the heart rate is 70, the blood pressure is 140 by 80. His urine output is also good.”
Reports of Dharmendra’s hospitalisation made headlines on Friday evening following an India Today report. The article read, “Someone may have spotted him and created a news piece. He is absolutely fine and there’s nothing to be worried about. He is in great spirits and just went for his scheduled tests.” Soon after, another report by NDTV claimed that the actor has been in the hospital for the last five days.
Dharmendra’s Health
Earlier this year, Dharmendra underwent an eye graft surgery. Upon his discharge, a video of him walking out of the hospital with a bandaged eye went viral. While interacting with the pap, the senioe actor was quoted saying, “I am strong. Abhi bhi Dharmendra mein bahut dum hai. Abhi bhi jaan rakhta hoon. Meri aankh, eye graft (corneal transplantation) ho gayi hai. I am strong. Love you, my audience and my fans.”
On the work front, the actor – who will be celebrating his 90th birthday on December 8, will soon be seen in Ikkis. Based on the true story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal – who was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra for his bravery in the 1971 Indo-Pak war, will release in theatres in December 2026.
