Dhurandhar The Revenge, aka Dhurandhar 2, has arrived in theatres amid massive expectations, and it has delivered spectacularly at the box office. Mounted on a grand scale and headlined by Ranveer Singh in a fierce, larger-than-life avatar, the film blends slick action, patriotic undertones, and a gripping narrative rooted in India’s covert operations.
Dhurandhar 2 Mints Over Rs 100 Cr On Opening Day
Positioned as one of the biggest Bollywood releases of the year, the film had already generated tremendous buzz through its trailer, music, and aggressive advance bookings. Now, within just its opening day, Dhurandhar The Revenge has not only lived up to the hype but has also rewritten box office history, setting a new gold standard for Day 1 collections in Hindi cinema.
According to reports by Sacnilk, Dhurandhar 2 collected a staggering net of Rs 102.55 Crore on Day 1 across 21,728 shows. The sequel earned Rs 43 Cr in advance bookings in India. Hence, the total nett is at Rs 145.55 crore so far. This takes its total gross collections to Rs 172.63 crore.

Notably, the spy action thriller had already built immense momentum with paid previews, earning Rs 44 crore on Wednesday alone. The collections were driven by 12,292 shows nationwide, registering an impressive overall occupancy of 46.7%.
The film has now secured the top spot for the highest Day 1 net box office collection among Bollywood films, surpassing several major blockbusters. The current rankings stand as follows:

Dhurandhar: The Revenge stars Ranveer Singh as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, an Indian spy who goes deep undercover in Karachi under the alias Hamza Ali Mazari. The film follows Hamza’s ascent in Lyari’s criminal underworld as he works to dismantle terror networks while pursuing a personal vendetta. The sequel to the 2025 hit also sees R. Madhavan returning as Ajay Sanyal and Sanjay Dutt as SP Chaudhary Aslam. Arjun Rampal reprises his role as Major Iqbal, with Sara Arjun playing Ranveer’s love interest, Yalina. The pan-India project was officially released in theatres on 19 March, in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
