Dhurandhar The Revenge COPIED? Filmmaker Santosh Kumar RS Alleges Makers Of Copying His 2023 Script; Says, “My Story Has Been Exploited”

Filmmaker Santosh Kumar RS has accused the makers of Dhurandhar The Revenge, aka Dhurandhar 2, directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, of copying his 2023 script. He claims to have registered his story and possesses supporting documentation, including emails and registration records, to back his allegations. Santosh plans to pursue legal action, asserting that his original story was turned into political propaganda in the film.

Ranveer Singh Led Dhurandhar 2 COPIED?

Santosh Kumar RS stated that he noticed striking similarities between his script and Dhurandhar 2 after watching the film. As per several entertainment portals, he explained, “You all might have watched Dhurandhar 2. It is doing very well everywhere. After watching it, I realised it’s my script and story. I had written it with a lot of effort in 2023 and shared it with many companies because I was told that big actors require backing from a corporate organization.”

He further revealed that he officially registered his script with the Screenwriters Association in November 2023. Santosh has documentation to support his claims. “I tried many times and sent my story to several people. I am a member of the Screenwriters Association, and I registered my story there in November 2023,” Santosh said.

Santosh Reached Out To Major Production Houses

The filmmaker also mentioned that he approached several major production houses. It includes Sony Pictures, Zee Studios, T-Series, and Dharma Productions during the development phase. He shared that he had envisioned actor Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead role at that time.

Expressing his intention to take legal action, Santosh said, “I am planning to file a case against this movie because, even though they made a good film, my story has been exploited. I originally wrote it for cinema and entertainment, but they turned it into political propaganda, which hurts me.”

He also highlighted the broader implications of his experience. The filmmaker stated, “What happened to me shouldn’t happen to anyone, and I will do my best to let people know about it.”

Who Is Santosh Kumar RS?

Santosh Kumar RS hails from Thirthahalli in Karnataka’s Shivamogga district. He has worked as a director, writer, and producer in Indian cinema. He made his directorial debut with the Kannada film Campus Kranti (2023), which he also wrote. Currently, he is associated with the upcoming pan-India action thriller Yuvan Robinhood. It is set to release in 2026. He is credited as director, writer, and producer.
