The song Shararat from the film Dhurandhar has taken the internet by storm, quickly becoming one of the most talked-about tracks of the year. Sung by Jasmine Sandlas and Madhubanti Bagchi, the peppy dance number featuring Krystle Dsouza and Ayesha Khan has struck a chord with audiences across generations. From Instagram reels to celebrity shout-outs, Shararat has turned into a full-blown cultural moment, with even international star Nick Jonas using the track as his pre-show hype song. The music video has already clocked millions of views on YouTube.
Krystle D’Souza On Comparisons With Ayesha
While the song continues to trend, social media has also sparked unnecessary comparisons between Krystle and Ayesha, debating who stood out more. Addressing this chatter in an exclusive conversation with News18 Showsha, Krystle made it clear that Shararat should be celebrated for bringing women together rather than pitting them against each other.
“Four women have come together and that’s one of the best things about Shararat,” she shared, adding that such comparisons are “immature.” Krystle expressed disappointment over how praise often comes at the cost of pulling someone else down. “Everyone has their own journey, struggles, and talent. We all work hard year after year,” she said.
Firmly advocating sisterhood, Krystle pointed out that women should uplift one another instead of engaging in negativity. “If you can’t support another woman, at least don’t discourage her,” she stated, calling such remarks regressive.
She also had nothing but praise for her co-star, saying Ayesha was “amazing, beautiful, and a fantastic dancer.” Watching each other shine, she said, was one of the most rewarding parts of the experience.
What also sets Shararat apart is its approach to a dance number that doesn’t objectify women. Krystle agreed, noting that while she enjoys sensual songs, she appreciated how Shararat served the story and was shot tastefully. “For now, this felt right—and I’m glad it turned out the way it did,” she concluded.
