With less 2 days left until Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge releases globally, and a little over 24 hours until the paid previews happen, the advance booking for the Ranveer Singh starrer is in full swing. In fact, the film is already making box office records with its advance booking worldwide. As per a recent update, the film – which is set to have the biggest premiere in Indian cinema history, is all set to have round-the-clock shows in many parts of India, especially Mumbai.

its way in making box office records, with the film already is breaking records with the pace of its advance booking collections worldwide and is already the biggest premiere in Indian cinema history, selling over a million tickets.

Dhurandhar The Revenge To Have 24-Hour Shows

Given the spectacular response Dhurandhar 2 has received worldwide with its advance booking, exhibitors across the country have decided to increase the number of shows across many circuits. In fact, a look at Book My Show reveals that they’ve added round-the-clock shows by introducing late-night and post-midnight screenings.

Talking about new shows – especially in Mumbai and Thane, some theatres will have screening right from 1:50 am to 11:30 pm. Not just in financial capital of India, but Ahmedabad too is set to offer its audience post-midnight shows for Dhurandhar 2, starting Thursday itself. While replicating this model is not possible in all cities due to logistical and safety concerns, reports suggest that many theatres in Western and South India will follow suit and open up late-night shows for the film.

With a nearly 4-hour-long runtime (3 hours, 55 minutes to be exact), running more than 4 shows per dat per screen during regular runtime put exhibitors in a tough spot. To overcome this issue, the screening hours have thus been extended. Hindustan Times reported that major theatre chains are keeping a 4-hour, 40-minute window for each show, factoring in trailers, the interval, and the turnaround time between shows.

Post-midnight shows are a rarity in Indian cinema, and this addition is proof of just how excited the Indian audience is for the Ranveer Singh-led espionage drama.

At the time of writing, Dhurandhar 2 has sold close to 15 lakh tickets across India in advance booking, half of which have come for the paid preview shows on Wednesday.
