‘Detective Sherdil’ tells the tale of a unique detective tasked with solving a case that is far from ordinary. What sets the film apart is an entertaining blend of suspense and mystery with wit and humour. ‘Detective Sherdil’ marks Ravi Chhabriya’s first directorial venture. This comes after assisting Ali Abbas Zafar on projects like Sultan, Bharat and Tiger Zinda Hai.

The film features Diana Penty, Boman Irani, Chunky Panday and Ratna Pathak Shah. Also seen will be Banita Sandhu and Sumeet Vyas. Diljit Dosanjh starrer is packed with an array of talented actors. The film has been written by Ali Abbas Zafar, Sagar Bajaj and Ravi Chhabriya. Detective Sherdil is Ali Abbas Zafar’s second collaboration with Diljit Dosanjh after the acclaimed Jogi.

It has been directed by debutant Ravi Chhabria. And has been produced by Ali Abbas Zafar under AAZ Films, Offside Entertainment, and Maurya Entertainment. Shot in Budapest and streaming on OTT from June 20, 2025, Detective Sherdil is all set to be a rollercoaster of laughs, clues, and complete chaos.
