diljit dosanjh threatened over touching Amitabh Bachchan's feet

The banned Khalistani group Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) has sent a threat to Diljit Dosanjh for touching Amitabh Bachchan’s feet, claiming it insulted victims of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. Pannun’s outfit threatened to shut down Dosanjh’s upcoming Australian concert on November 1, accusing the singer-actor of disrespecting the memory of riot victims.

Diljit Dosanjh Receives Threat From Khalistani Group

As reported by India Today, Pannun stated, “By touching Bachchan’s feet, Dosanjh insulted every victim, widow, and orphan of the Sikh genocide. This act is betrayal, not ignorance. The ashes of those burned and raped are still fresh. No Sikh with conscience can celebrate or perform on the Day of Remembrance.”

During his appearance on ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 17,’ Dosanjh touched Bachchan’s feet, who responded with a warm hug, which received widespread praise online. However, the SFJ has called for a boycott of Dosanjh’s events and urged Sikh institutions to condemn his gesture, linking it to the 2010 takht decree recognising November 1984 as “Sikh Genocide Month.”

While facing these threats, Dosanjh continues his Australian tour, where he recently made history as the first Indian artist to sell out a stadium in Sydney, with 30,000 fans attending and tickets reaching up to $800.
