The project was backed by Excel Entertainment, led by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. They had previously announced Ranveer Singh as the new lead for the iconic franchise. It was originally headlined by Shah Rukh Khan. However, behind-the-scenes developments reportedly prompted major changes in the film’s direction.

However, it’s still uncertain whether the recent meeting has led to any immediate resolution.
