Actress Fatima Sana Shaikh is on a roll, adding another exciting project to her impressive list of upcoming films. She has signed on to play the lead role in Madhur Bhandarkar’s new theatrical drama titled Wives of Bollywood, as per peepingmoon.com.

Shaikh, who gained fame with her powerful roles in Dangal, Ludo, Thar, and Sam Bahadur, will play the wife of a Bollywood superstar in this drama set in the world of showbiz. The film promises to explore the glamorous but complex lives of star wives, featuring themes of scandal, gossip, and hidden power struggles.

Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, the movie follows his signature storytelling style, seen in critically acclaimed films like Page 3, Fashion, and Heroine. Wives of Bollywood was first announced in October 2024 and will begin filming in August.

The makers are planning a theatrical release in early 2026. An ensemble cast is being put together, and more actors are expected to join soon. The film is being produced by Bhandarkar Entertainment and PJ Motion Pictures.

Besides this project, Fatima Sana Shaikh has several other exciting releases lined up. She will star in Anurag Basu’s Metro… In Dino, releasing on July 4, and Manish Malhotra’s Gustaakh Ishq, alongside Naseeruddin Shah and Vijay Varma. She’s also part of Netflix India’s romantic comedy Aap Jaisa Koi with R. Madhavan and will make her web series debut in Nyaya, produced by Applause Entertainment.
