Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor’s upcoming film Abir Gulaal has plunged into controversy following the tragic Pahalgam terror attack. It resulted in the death of 26 people. The film, which marks Fawad Khan’s highly anticipated return to Bollywood alongside Vaani Kapoor, is facing significant setbacks just weeks before its release. The attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, has intensified calls for a boycott of Pakistani artists. This makes Abir Gulaal the first project to grapple with these repercussions, and its songs have been removed from YouTube.

The two songs of Abir Gulaal Khudaya Ishq, a romantic ballad, and Angrezi Rangrasiya, a lively dance number, have disappeared from YouTube India. These tracks, originally showcased on the official channel of A Richer Lens Entertainment. It is the film’s production house, which is no longer accessible to Indian viewers. Furthermore, Saregama, the music label that owns the rights to the soundtrack, also seems to have removed the songs from its YouTube page.
So far, neither the producers nor the lead actors have commented on the unexpected removal of the songs. However, it has been noted that Vaani Kapoor deleted a promotional video featuring Fawad Khan. Reportedly, she had posted on April 22, the same day as the Pahalgam attack.
