Bollywood’s beloved Hera Pheri franchise continues to face hurdles as the eagerly awaited third instalment remains delayed. The film has been pushed back multiple times since its announcement. However, Paresh Rawal, who plays the legendary Baburao Ganpatrao Apte, has assured fans that Hera Pheri 3 will definitely happen, while also shedding light on the technical issues causing the delay.
Paresh Rawal Says Hera Pheri 3 Delayed Due To Technical Issues
On The Lavari Show, Rawal clarified that the delay isn’t due to any personal reasons but stems from a “technical issue”. Despite the setbacks, he remains optimistic that the project will move forward once the matter is resolved.
The veteran actor also dismissed rumours suggesting legal troubles were hindering the film. He remarked, “All this talk about Akshay Kumar suing me for Rs 25 crores is just a joke—like kachva chaap agarbatti.”
He emphasised that it’s simply a technical dispute between the producer and Akshay Kumar, unrelated to him. “Once they sort out their issues, I’ll just need to sign the papers,” he added.
Paresh Says Hera Pheri Without Baburao Will Be A Disaster
Discussing his iconic role as Babu Rao, Rawal reiterated its vital place in the franchise. He emphasised that attempting Hera Pheri 3 without him would be a “disaster”. Paresh stated, “Even at the cost of modesty, I believe if they try to make Hera Pheri without Babu Rao, it will be a disaster.”
He concluded, “If the issues between the producer and Akshay Kumar get resolved, I will sign the papers. It’s not in my hands, but I am 100% sure it will happen.”
