Prateek Kuhad

Debutant singer Prateek Kuhad who has the song ‘Kho Gaye Hum Kaha’ from ‘Baar Baar Dekho‘ to his credit, is all set to embark on a musical tour. The Delhi-based singer will be performing at various music festivals and gatherings. He will be starting out with Brisbane in Australia where he will perform live at BIGSOUND 2016, followed by Singapore for Music Matters, Asia’s premier independent music festival that would be held on September 11-15, and the Singapore Grand Prix which will be held on September 17 and 18.

He spoke about the same to a well-known daily, “I don’t really know what to expect from the (Singapore and Australia) shows. I don’t have much of a fan base in either of those regions. It’s always a challenge to build that from bottom up. On an unrelated note, I’m definitely looking forward to visiting both countries. I’ve never been to either ”

Talking about the set design for these shows, he says, “I try to keep my sets intimate, expressive and warm. Auditorium shows are nice because you can listen to the songs and absorb the whole experience in a different way. It’s what we tried doing last year with the In Tokens & Charms tour. It’s the same philosophy, on a larger scale. A lot of the new songs are on the piano, so that definitely adds a different soundscape to the set. I’m always trying to write new material, but I don’t like to force songwriting, so when I feel like I have enough songs for a release, I’ll start working towards it.”
