Irrfan Khan and Tanuja Chandra

Versatile actor Irrfan Khan is all set to collaborate with filmmaker Tanuja Chandra. This is Tanuja Chandra’s directorial debut in 10 years and it will be a rom-com. Tanuja has previously made films like ‘Sangharsh’ and ‘Dushman’. Her last venture was ‘Hope And A Little Sugar’ in the year 2006 that was premiered and even bagged an award in October, 2006 at the South Asian International Film Festival in New York. It was also the opening film in 2008 for the Opening Night Gala at BAFTA.

A source close to the project revealed, “Irrfan has loved the script; Tanuja had been working on it since a long time. It’s a rom-com revolving around an unlikely couple that falls in love on a road trip. The film is set in India and will roll in November.”

The actor will wrap up ‘Hindi Medium’ and then start working on this film. He is also busy with his promotions for Ron Howard’s ‘Inferno’ wherein he will be sharing screen space with Hollywood actor Tom Hanks. The lead actress is yet to be finalized. The source adds, “The makers are still scouting for talent for the role.”
