Satyajeet Dubey

Actor Satyajeet Dubey, who made his Bollywood debut with Roshan Abbas’s ‘Always Kabhi Kabhi’, said it was difficult for him to get films post the failure of the movie.

“It was and still is quite difficult (to get work). Your success is not measured by your talent but by the box office collections. Having said that, I have never stopped trying and used all the rejections and angst to fuel up my motivation and do what I love, no matter what,” Satyajeet told IANS here when asked how tough it was for him to get work when ‘Always Kabhi Kabhi’ tanked.

He is confident of his talent and said: “Let me tell you… I am here to stay.”

Satyajeet’s latest release is ‘Kerry On Kutton’, which hit the screens on July 1.

Talking about his role in the film, he said: “My role is about a guy called Kerry, coming from the lower section of our small towns. He’s a kind of guy you can spot at every chowk, chauraha, galli and nukkad of a small town.

“He is driven by the sole agenda of getting laid and wants to achieve victory no matter what. He hardly holds any moral compass and is blunt and uncouth with a lot of raw and untamed energy.”

Helmed by debutant director Ashok Yadav, ‘Kerry On Kutton’ also features Karan Mahavar, Aradhana Jagota and Aditya Kumar.
