Ibrahim Ali Khan Recalls What Saif Ali Khan Said To Him Post Stabbing Incident; Says, “If You Were Here, You Would’ve Beaten…”

In January, Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked during a break-in at his home in Mumbai. A violent confrontation broke out after the attacker, who was identified as Shariful Islam, broke into the actor’s house and accosted the family. Saif had emergency surgery at Lilavati Hospital after suffering six stab wounds, including one that was perilously close to his spine.

Ibrahim Ali Khan spoke about his father Saif Ali Khan’s stabbing incident from years ago. He shared how hearing about the event impacted him emotionally and gave him a deeper understanding of the risks that come with fame. He expressed admiration for his father’s strength. Speaking to GQ India, Ibrahim shared, “I was shooting a night shift. He was stabbed around 2:30 am and I was informed at 5:30am. I hadn’t slept that night and I rushed to see him. He had just come out of the ICU after surgery. He opened his eyes, spoke to Sara for a bit, and asked for me. I was so happy; I said, ‘I’m right here, dad.’ And then he said, ‘If you were there, you would’ve beaten that guy up.’ That made me weep. I wish I had been there.”

Addressing rumours about the incident, Ibrahim clarified,“To everyone saying I drove him to the hospital with my baby brother, I would like to clarify that my dad walked into the hospital himself. He walked in with a knife stuck in him and said, ‘I need help’.”

About Saif Ali Khan’s attack case

The incident happened at Saif Ali Khan’s Bandra home when an intruder confronted his maid. The actor suffered many stab wounds as a result of the violent struggle that broke out when Saif tried to step in and defuse the situation.

Saif Ali Khan was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent surgery under the supervision of a team of doctors. His team confirmed on Thursday afternoon that he was out of danger and had been moved to the ICU. As per the latest updates, Saif’s friend Afsar Zaidi brought him to Lilavati Hospital on the day of the incident. Lilavati Hospital completed the admission process at 4:11 AM on January 16. According to his medical report, Saif Ali Khan sustained injuries in five areas, including his back, wrist, neck, shoulder, and elbow. The injuries ranged in size from 0.5 cm to 15 cm.

Mumbai police after investigating the case arrested a suspect connected to the attack. He was identified as Mohammed Shariful Islam Shehzad, a 30-year-old Bangladeshi national who illegally entered India and changed his name to Vijay Das.
