Kriti Sanon Recalls Her 2015 IIFA Experience

Sharing one of her fondest award memories, Kriti Sanon said, “When I went for my first… 2015 I think, 10 years back, when I went to IIFA for my debut award… It was very, very surreal because wohi aap television ke dusre taraf se dhek rahe the aur ab aap television pe ho. So it was surreal to just see all the stars around. For the first time seeing an award show happening abroad somewhere.”

She continued, “Mujhe yaad hai main apne parents ko saath le ke gayi thi pehli baar koi award show ke liye and it was such a huge moment. I also remember my mom was very nervous – woh Singapore aayi thi par woh fir unhone bola main (award show pe) nahi aungi. I was like, ‘What do you mean?’ She was like, ‘Nahi, I feel agar main aungi aur tu award lene jayegi toh tu gir jayegi.’ So she had this paranoia ki main trip ho jaungi. And genuinely, jab main gayi stage pe, I nearly slipped (doing a stumbling action). I somehow managed myself and didn’t fall. It’s a beautiful memory.”

IIFA 2025 was extra special for Kriti Sanon as the actress won the Best Performances in a Leading Role for Do Patti – her maiden production. While she took home a trophy on the first night, Kriti set the stage on fire on the second day with an electrifying dance act.
