Jaaved Jaaferi On Social Media
In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Jaaved Jaaferi shares an anecdote about use of social media. He says, “No no, look, for a film actor, his film will speak his work will speak. For a cricketer, his performance, at the end of the day that’s what matters. Agar woh perform nahi kare… let’s talk about cricketers, all the advertisements they get, which is a by-product but which somehow becomes the main product, it’s all dependent on how you perform and the same thing applies to an actor, does social media following translate into tickets? It doesn’t, look at the biggest of stars… no way. It is their film and their work which finally speaks, and the audience takes that and that’s the criteria. It’s got nothing to do with, ‘I’ve got 80 million or 100 million.’ Show me one case where it has translated to tickets.”
Avantika Dasani On Films Getting Organic Reach
When asked if films should get more organic reach rather than just social media promotions, Avantika said, “I mean we would want it that way, we would definitely would want it that way, that it reaches organically and people hear about it and know about it but, I think it’s used as a tool of information, a medium to let people know about it.”
