Javed Akthar Compares Aamir Khan’s Journey To Amitabh Bachchan; Makes His Prediction For Sitaare Zameen Par; Says, “Jab Main Sahi Saabit Hoon Toh…”

As Aamir Khan will be entering his 60s soon, PVR-INOX has announced a special film festival commemorating the actor’s contribution to Indian cinema. It was titled the Aamir Khan: Cinema Ka Jadugar. During this event, Javed Akhtar compares Aamir Khan’s career journey to Amitabh Bachchan’s and predicts the best for Sitaare Zameen Par.

Talking about Aamir Khan’s upcoming film, Sitaare Zameen Par, Javed Akhtar says, “Jaise maine Aamir Khan sahaab jab yeh bhar rahe the tabh maine kaha tha yeh ladka superstar hai. Yahi baat maine Amitabh Bachchan ji ki jab 11 filmain fail hui toh tabh boli thi. Mujhe maalum tha ki yeh superstar hai, exceptional insaan hai. Yahi baat maine Anil Kapoor aur Shankar Mahadevan ke baare main boli thi.”

Adding further, the lyricist said, “Aur pictures ke baare main bhi kahi thi. Most of the time if I have not liked the picture, then the picture has not worked. Main aapko batata hoon ek picture aane wali hai, chaahe woh multiplex pe aaye yaa audience, usme woh picture chalegi aur audience ko woh pasand bhi aayegi. Woh picture iss waqt main, yeh bana rahe hai (Referring to Aamir Khan beside him). I am putting my net on the block. Mujhe pata hai aap log bhulenge nahi. Magar jab main sahi saabit hoon toh salaam dene aaiye.”

On the work front, Aamir will be next seen in Sitaare Zameen Par. It is a thematic sequel to his 2007 film, Taare Zameen Par. They just announced ‘Aamir Khan: Cinema Ka Jadugar’ will commence on the actor’s 60th birthday on March 14. It will come to a close on March 27.
