Javed Akhtar stands up for Sara Ali Khan; says, “I can’t understand what is racial about her photo”

Sara Ali Khan has made her magazine debut with the leading magazine ‘Filmfare’ March issue. She looked stunning in the pictures of the magazine but it didn’t go well with a section of social media users and they slammed the actress. In one of the pictures, Sara is seen posing with a Masai tribesman. This irked netizens and they expressed their anger over how could the starlet agree to use the tribesman as a prop. They called it ‘tone deaf’ and ‘racist’ photo-shoot. Javed Akhtar has now backed Sara on Twitter.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Javed Akhtar said that he “can’t understand what is “racial” about Sara’s photo with a Maasai tribesman”. Also, he said, “There are Demeans (he meant to write Demons) in the minds of the people who are objecting.” Have a look at the tweet below.
