Mukerji Cousins Assemble

Bollywood cousins Kajol and Rani Mukerji celebrated Durga Puja in Mumbai with their families, unveiling the Goddess Durga idol together. On Saturday, the actresses reunited to kick off their annual family festivities at the North Bombay Durga Puja pandal, marking the joyous beginning with the first look of the Goddess Durga idol.

The celebration was heartfelt, tinged with emotion as the family remembered Deb Mukherjee, actor and father of filmmaker Ayan Mukerji. He passed away in March 2025 at age 83. Deb had been the longtime organiser of their Durga Puja celebrations, and his absence was deeply felt.

A touching moment was captured on camera, showing Kajol, Rani, Tanishaa Mukerji, and Sharbaani Mukherji embracing with tears in their eyes. Kajol also shared a heartfelt hug with Ayan Mukerji, symbolising the strong family bond during this emotional occasion.

All members dressed in traditional festive attire: Kajol looked stunning in a silk saree with a red blouse, Rani chose an elegant white saree with a black and red floral border. Ayan kept it simple yet festive in a white kurta-pyjama.
