Karan Johar’s remarkable weight loss journey has garnered significant attention, raising concerns among fans about his health. The filmmaker has been open about his struggles with body dysmorphia, and many were apprehensive to see the changes in his appearance. To support his weight loss, Karan also took up paddleball and swimming.

Karan Johar Opens Up On His Drastic Weight Loss

During an Instagram Live session on Thursday, April 17, he reassured fans by stating, “I’m in the pink of my health. I’ve never been better.” Karan explained the reason behind his substantial weight loss, revealing that after undergoing a blood test, he realised he needed to correct his levels. Karan shared, “It started with me discovering… that I needed to correct my blood levels.”

While he mentioned he is on medication, he attributed most of his weight loss to ‘eating one meal a day.’ He explained that his diet primarily consisted of just one meal daily, along with the paddleball and swimming activities that supported his transformation.

Emphasising that his transformation was for health reasons and achieved through healthy means, Karan encouraged his fans to prioritise healthy eating and consumption in moderation, avoiding overindulgence. Earlier this year, at the IIFA Digital Awards, he discussed his weight loss, saying, “It’s being healthy. Eating well, exercising, and doing your best to look good.” When a reporter inquired about his routine, Karan humorously replied, “If I do that, I’ll give my secret away.” However, the mystery is now resolved.

Karan Johar Responds To Ozempic Being The Reason For Weight Loss

In response to speculation last year from a user on X (formerly Twitter) who claimed he was using Ozempic, a medication known for rapid weight loss, Karan addressed the rumour by sharing a screenshot of the post on his Instagram stories. He denied the allegation, affirming that his weight loss stemmed solely from healthy eating.
