On the anniversary of their father Sunjay Kapoor’s birth, Kareena Kapoor Khan shared a heartfelt message for her niece Samaira and nephew Kiaan. The actress took to her Instagram Stories to repost a photo initially shared by her sister Karisma Kapoor. The picture showed a cake with “Happy Birthday Dad” written on it. Alongside the image, Kareena captioned, “My Samu and Kiu, dad is protecting you always and forever.”

Karisma’s Kids Legal Battle

Recently, on October 15, the Delhi High Court hearing regarding his property faced intense drama. Priya Kapur’s legal team struggled to defend a controversial will, which appeared riddled with inconsistencies. Justice Jyoti Singh criticised the defence, highlighting how the arguments focused on procedural issues rather than the core concerns about the authenticity of the will.

The court questioned how Sunjay’s children, Samaira and Kiaan, could challenge the will if they had not even seen it. The will, allegedly signed just days before Sunjay’s death, leaves most of his assets to his third wife, Priya Kapur, raising suspicions. The document contains glaring errors and is believed to be forged. Senior advocate Mahesh Jethmalani, representing Karisma Kapoor’s children, called the will “false in spirit and intent,” accusing it of attempting to erase Sunjay’s own children and mother from his legacy.

Both Kiaan and Samaira have accused Priya Kapur of tampering with their father’s will to claim his property. They have petitioned the court for a share of one-fifth of Sunjay’s estate each, asserting their status as legal heirs. The siblings maintain they were in regular contact with their father through meetings, visits, calls, and messages, emphasising their close relationship with him.
